GeoClue 2.7.1 is out!
The most prominent feature in this release is priority sources by @kop316. In practice this means that locations from inaccurate sources do not get through when #GNSS / #GPS is running, improving the user experience on high-resolution use cases like navigation.
Thanks to all the contributors!

All apps having #geoclue as dependency, including gnome-clocks, gnome-calendar, etc. by the way still work without geoclue being enabled.
So I just found out that there is a geolocation-package for Gnome named #geoclue which is a dependency not just for gnome-clocks, etc. but even for the gnome-settings-daemon and therefore unfortunately can't be uninstalled without factually breaking the Gnome-desktop however it's atleast still possible to disable it by running "sudo systemctl disable geoclue.service" and "sudo systemctl mask geoclue.service".
I would recommend doing that for privacy reasons if you don't use geolocation.
How about a version of #gnomeClocks without the #geoclue?
Someone wants a #timer and #stopwatch but having #locationServices built into gnome-clocks is a bit… disappointing.
This is us being kind.
#gnomeClocks #geoclue #timer #stopwatch #LocationServices #gnome
Use libre software? Dislike using Google's proprietary services? Mozilla Location Services is the libre alternative for geolocation, and it needs your help: http://zee-nix.blogspot.com/2018/09/recently-in-geoclue.html
