It's everyone's favorite technofix, because it fits very neatly with business-as-usual. It's so good that it made its way into IPCC 1.5C and 2C projections. Anything to keep the economy chugging along and collect the sweet profits for a bit longer.
Once #renewables and #CDR fail to solve the problem it'll be time for #geoengineering. 🍿

Long story short: we care about #ClimateChange because it causes disruptions in the weather patterns: longer and deadlier heatwaves, droughts, floods, fires, etc. While geoengineering may lower the global temperature it may also have other weather-disrupting side effects. In other words, by fixing one problem it could create another.
