This was so common back then, it makes me appreciate Sulu from the original #StarTrek even more. He was never an ethnic comedy prop and his character debuted eight years before this film came out.

1️⃣ At first, it looks like it's going to be a goofy holodeck episode, and, in a way, it is. But it's actually quite a heartfelt and profound instalment as well.
2️⃣ Plus, the storytelling is delightfully meta, as the characters repeatedly reference the tropes of stories just like this one.
3️⃣ My 782nd episode of #StarTrek, out of 893.
