I find rock in all it's forms just fascinating. I love the striations, pattern, color, texture and design.This particular rocky surface with it's hills, gully's, dark colors and deep grooves seemed to form a landscape from another planet. Found at #WreckIsland #GeorgianBay #Ontario

Early morning light on the calm, still water of the bay at Thistle Island #GeorgianBay, #Ontario Canada, was the scene for this simple but beautiful nature image. Grasses, bushes, reeds and rocks were stunning in their simplicity as they were reflected on the almost colorless water.

The calm water of the Shawanaga River, #GeorgianBay #Ontario Canada was the setting for the mesmerizing rock and Pine tree reflections on this gorgeous sunny day. The rugged, rough, rocky shore and the surrounding forest of Pine trees made this a stunning and peaceful scenic vista.

This peeling greenish paint wooden abstract is part of a shed at the historic Calhoun Lodge site in Blackstone Harbour, #GeorgianBay #Ontario Canada. Restoration had started in the 1990's but the buildings at the site have since fallen into disrepair. Peeling paint especially on wood make super abstracts.

Wreck Island, #GeorgianBay, #MassasaugaProvincialPark, #Ontario, Canada, is important not only for the diversity of rock types it contains but also for the processes and interactions of the earth's crust that have occurred here. It was a glorious day spent on this stunningly beautiful island and I was in heaven exploring the shore and marvelling in the rocky landscape.

Boating on #GeorgianBay in a small motorboat is always iffy as it usually has big waves, but on this day it was #calm, inducing a feeling of being lulled to sleep with the gentle rocking of the boat and the #hypnotic #blues of the sky and water. The #horizon in the distance and the blue #water with a dash of pink #sky made a lovely #natureabstract.

Late to #WindowFriday but posting anyway! When visiting #CalhounLodge in the #MassasaugaProvincialPark, #GeorgianBay #Ontario Canada, we ventured into the old, rustic cottages/homes that are now in decay. The dark interior with the screened windows made a perfect frame for the Pine and deciduous trees on the grounds.

There were many stunning #sunsets on the #MoonRiver, #GeorgianBay #Ontario Canada, but this one was just incredible.The heavens were glowing with the rich hues of orange, red, yellow, blue and purple, the calm river reflected the fiery #clouds and sky, the trees and grasses were in #silhouette and the scene was #magical.
