I’ve just returned to Seattle from a quick round trip to South #GeorgiaUS for a funeral (and post-funeral community potluck for those who know #southern funerals). Red-eye Sat night. Seven hours in a car; four with extended family on Sunday. Flight back Monday.

This is my second family funeral this year. I’m an only but grew up with a circle of cousins-as-quasi-siblings. I’m an ‘orphan’ in my seventh decade, so these will probably come faster. A life stage.
