Had to take the car in for a service but discovered TWO contrasting geological SSSI right on the doorstep, for my #geosites project! And a local bakery. Which aligns nicely with my other November project, an Intermittent Fasting trial. Two SSSI. Two lunches. Happy days 😃.

Day 9 in my Scottish #geosites visits and it's time for a big hitter, the Arthur's Seat Volcano #SSSI. Surely the best bit of geology in the Lothians. A dissected basalt volcano 🌋 and a slightly later sill intrusion at Salisbury Crags. And a lovely sunny day, too!

Day 1 of my November #geosites project, planning to visit a different site every day. The Wardie Geological Conservation Review Site is close to home: actually a doubler: Palaeozoic Palaeobotany of Great Britain and Permian-Carboniferous Fish/Amphibia! Good for seaweed too 😀.
