as a result of my attempts to buy the "Deutschlandticket" as someone who neither has a german bank account nor lives in germany, i currently have the apps of 6 different german transit agencies installed on my phone lol

the Rheinbahn app was the one which finally allowed me to do it, in case anyone ends up in this exact situation later down the line (assuming a simpler solution doesn't eventually show up). time to delete the other five!
