Arthropods have a pretty diverse regulation of the germ line…. Germ line segregation by induction in crickets and bees, versus germ plasm in mighty Drosophila…. Funky workers becoming fertile (and frequently aggressive) once the queen looses its mojo… Yet, germ line segregation in early embryo appears to be the rule. Yet, if i learned something from insects is that there is always a weird one… is there any arthropod with late/ adult germ line segregation? #germline #insects #drosophila
