We watched the Miriam Hopkins starrer “Men Are Not Gods” (1936). It was entertaining, but the most notable aspect of it was Broadway legend Gertrude Lawrence in a top supporting role. I didn’t know she had made any film appearances. Here she is with Sebastian Shaw, both in costume for “Othello”, the play-within-the-movie that the plot of this picture centers on.
