I'm going through my Lightroom catalog which is over 50k images and I'm adding in keywords so I can quickly search for specific content within the archive but the process is boring and tedious. I hope I can get better about adding metadata to new work during the import process so that I can avoid this tedium in the future. When I started doing photography, I didn't anticipate that I'd have SO MUCH STUFF to sort through down the line.

The "Send to Kindle" app is borked - used to just upload the files & sort out title, author, etc. Now it's gone to epub, it posts the title as the filename (which is usually something like: "13th Continuum, The - Brody, Jennifer.epub" which drives my taxonomy brain BATTY.
Oh well.
The corollary to this, I have my purchased books list open on the 'Zon to make sure (a) I've downloaded a copy into Caliber & deDRM'd it and (b) making sure each is tagged properly so I don't copy it over to Apple Books (bc duplicates).
I'm finding the Apple books app fairly okay for reading, as long as I make sure to sync via iCloud. It's now the home of all my downloaded fic, too (also VERY MANY). Used to keep those in Kindle documents, but recent changes = not so great.
Today was supposed to be a day of chilling out & then taking my dad to his cataract pre-op visit this afternoon. They called to reschedule, so I guess I'm back on my bs of organizing my digital book files.
I've sorted through authors "A" through "N" so far.
It's a super detailed/long process - I'm basically looking at each author in Calibre & making sure each book/story is marked properly & if non 'Zon (many) then transferred over to Apple Books for backup/reading.
