@murchadhfinn Will FG/FF amend their Anglo-centric views? There are a few timid signs, but they need to be bolder. I think FF/FG loathing of Sinn Fein colours what they are prepared to do, and it will be to their detriment at the next GE. Also, it is important we do what we can to support #SNP and an Independent Scotland. Direct Rule is dead in the water, as the #GFA moves to #JointAuthority. That has only become relevant for the Americans since #Brexit. After all, #Brexit didn't exist and there was no need for a separate US/UK trade deal, in 1998.

The #GFA was and is a #American Foreign Policy success, which they hold up as an example for other countries around the world, as a template.

The Americans have defended the Good Friday Agreement, long before Brexit destroyed everything.

Consistently in polls in #NI - the majority of people in #NI, trust the #Irish Government & #EU to protect #GoodFridayAgreement & our interests. Which tells you all you need about what #NI people think of the #British Government.

You also have to remember what the Irish gave up to get #GFA over the line - Articles 2&3 of 1937 Bunreacht na hÉireann (Irish constitution) which said that they had right over 6 counties of Ulster, which Unionism hated.

I hope everyone in Northern Ireland has their Irish passports by now.
Subjects of a new king... or a citizen of a Republic. I know which I'd rather.

If Stormont is not reformed to do away with the designation system, to allow all of us who aren't #Unionist or #Nationalist to have our vote count. Also to remove the mandatory coalition element of government here.

Then my preferred option is Joint Authority - with Dublin & London; through the British/Irish Council set out in GFA.

I see no problem in Dublin having a say - they after all are co- guarantors of #GFA.

You have to fit into a box. You have to fit into one or the other, to matter. You can't not have a flag to follow. That is the mindset that dominates our politics.

After 25 years of #GFA, that is one of the biggest let downs - our education system is not integrated. Our kids are still separated. That must change.

That is why these events at #QUB are discredited in my opinion, when you include a woman like Foster.

After all, she left a pro #GFA25 party to support & eventually led an anti #GFA25 party, who still doesn't support it. However is prepared to take the benefits of the institutions introduced by the #GFA. In the month of the celebration of GFA, she attacked the US President for being Anti-British because he is proud of is Irish ancestry.

Arlene Foster is a hypocrite! She objected to #GoodFridayAgreement that she left the Unionist party that signed up to the #GFA. However, as leader of the #DUP,
she happily accepted the role as #FirstMinister in the institutions brought about by the #GFA25

She no longer a politician, when she was one she was terrible. She is better suited to her new role as commentator the pretend 'news' channel #GBNews

She is no peacemaker and should be called out for it.
