After some testing I found out my potato rig is performing much better with #ghostbsd running #mate .
Nomadbsd is still a good choice for a persistent, portable BSD system, though.
Looking forward to set up #Freebsd with #i3wm, my daily window manager, but it will take more time and dedication.
Quite happy for now.

Having ADHD I do better with explainer videos & doing instead of reading long text. GhostBSD was so easy to get started I was able to stick with it. Linux variations were just too much pain plus bad experiences with the community back in the day.

It's an OS out of Canada that is based on FreeBSD but put's it's own spin on things such as having the Mate desktop preinstalled and having a GUI installer among other things. The code is licensed using the BSD-3-Clause license. If you're looking to leave Windows or Mac OS for a more privacy and security friendly operating system then I can easily recommend GhostBSD.

Y tanto en la familia de GNU/Linux como en la de los *BSD notรฉ que ya casi estamos en condiciones de decir que tenemos reemplazos libres para todos los programas generales que se usan en sistemas privativos/propietarios.
El problema sigue siendo la falta de controladoresโฆ ๐๐ซ๐ญ

#FreeBSD, #OpenBSD, and #NetBSD (and their derivatives such as #DragonFlyBSD, #HardenedBSD, #MirBSD, #GhostBSD, et al.) are actually some of the former types of operating system in the "Unix" class.
They're the full operating system "nut", both "kernel" and "shell", in one and can trace their lineages, complete with long version control histories going back decades, to old #Unix flavours of the 1970s.
They're not the same as one another.
