GHOSTEL has been on my to-play list for a while, probably because it uses a novel dice mechanic and I love dice games.
A 3x3 grid of cards represents guests in a haunted hotel. Each round you get to place a ghost and move it twice, leaving a die on each card. If the total is high enough, the guest is frightened away and the ghosts score points.
Unfortunately it's not great for 2 players; the rules have you play a 4-person game with each player controlling 2 colors, which results in a lot of admin. It might be better for 3 or 4, but for me this is a one-and-done play; oh well. (5/n)
And here is my #BGStats grid for April in its full 4x4 glory.
We’re continuing to enjoy #WelcomeToTheMoon and, whilst most of the others are regulars, this month we pulled in some old favourites that hadn’t been played for a while:
#ThanosRising we’re too good at this coop game now and it’s got a bit boring
#Ghostel kind of overstays its welcome
#ForbiddenIsland we are still terrible at this coop though, which is more enjoyable.
