Based upon what I’ve read and having played the game #ghostoftsushima which is based upon the premise similar to ‘if Hitler had won the war’.

The fight at #Komoda beach was accurate it is what happens after that history changed.

This was the first attempt to take Japan. First they took #Tsushima and then #Ika and then they went to Japan and only just failed. The only reason the Shogun was prepared was a Samurai was able to get from Tsushima to warn him..

The reason the Mongolians nearly took Japan is because Japan’s Shogun to create order required the Samurai to follow a strict honour code presumably to stop internal wars. The Mongols did not follow this code hence the slaughter on Komoda beach and the closeness to the Mongols winning in Japan.

Now the #ghostofsushima works on the premise that the attack was stopped on Tsushima.

#theghostoftsushima is the rise of a samurai who saw that he would need to change to defend his home.

Alright this is the fun part. If this #ghostoftsushima had occurred then in the next invasion directly on Japan the Mongols would have probably have won, even though the Samurai were better fighters. Why? The #Shogun would not have learnt. Play the game to understand.
