I think it's a fun throw-back to the Night of the Living Dead film, in which the undead (called 'ghouls' in the film) were afraid of fire and mostly active at night.
Also, I have a blind #undead #ooze in my #Ustalav campaign that's harmed by sunlight. It can create #zombies and see through their eyes. So having them be temporarily blinded by bright light fits with the monster that's creating them as well.
