Schots singer-songwriter en gitarist die in 1955 #skiffleband Alex Harvey Big Soul Band opricht, waarmee hij in het begin van 1960 naar #Hamburg trekt, en zijn eerste album opneemt.
Deze komt in 1963 uit, en in 1964 maakt hij, samen met zijn broer #LeslieHarvey die zich bij de band heeft gevoegd, het album #TheBlues.
In 1965 split de Big Soul Band en hij richt #GiantMoth op, maar deze band flopt volledig
