Nine weeks today since my mother died.

I'm energised and overwhelmingly tired by turns, and time is strangely telescoped - her death seems simultaneously much further away and uncomfortably close.

I got dressed up today and spent a bit of time an hour away with a friend on her birthday, I had the genuine pleasure of bringing new dragonflies into her world in the form of a natty tote bag.

The day wore me out, but it was good to get out of the house and spend time with Hubs and Cully.

so I finally opened up this "gift" that sat on the counter for weeks, and then in the fridge for a few more, since xmas (2022) said "gift" was the size of... 🤔 a small french roll? ??? wrapped in gift paper and ribbons. I thought it was a loaf of fruit cake... nope. It was white, the outside was all slimy and rotten smelling, the inside was kinda grainy, a little sweet, but still "'tainted" WTF is it? thx

I love exchanging goods without any money involved. Sadly(?), there seem to be at least 4 competing websites/apps/communities in the #Philly area for giving and receiving free stuff.

This means if you want to see all of the free stuff that's available, you need to check them all, regularly. If you want to maximize the number of people who see the stuff you're giving away, I guess you have to post on all of them.

• Add to large clip-top jar, adding 'lil salt to layers. Press down firmly.
• Top with folded cabbage leaf to keep sauerkraut immersed in own juice.
• ‘Burp’ jar daily (5-10 days, till fermented)
