Le sigh...

I'm still having issues with #Firefox to this day when it comes to uploading content to #YouTube.

When I was using #Chrome, I was able to use the entirety of my #gigabit connection to send a video file.

Since switching to Firefox, I've been capped to about 32 Mbps.

I don't know what's causing this issue other than some shenanigans between Firefox and Google.

Anybody have any ideas on ways around this issue?

#Australia shows that few households want to pay an extra $20 a month to double their download #bandwidth (and increase their #upload bandwidth a chunk), everything else being equal. They have FTTH, so they could have lots of bandwidth, but the largest group picks 50 Mbit/s (and the fastest growing segment 25 Mbit/s).

Only 2% of households with #FTTH have chosen 250 Mbit/s or more download. The market for #gigabit to the home is tiny.

"Fibre for #gigabit for everyone!", they say. But, really, the demand is weak. Very weak.

Real market data from #Australia shows that only 2% of fibre customers choose download bandwidth of 250 Mbit/s or higher. 50 Mbit/s (less than a twentieth of a Gigabit) is the most popular bandwidth, 25 Mbit/s is the fastest growing market segment.

Really, for most households it is good enough.
