Yes, it has some 50 π™Žπ™π™–π™™π™šπ™¨ and π™‰π™šπ™€π™£ 𝙂𝙀𝙙𝙨 vibes, 𝘣𝘢𝘡 it adds fantasy to the mix, and I’ve been all about the fantasy realm lately. Bryn, mysteriously wins a free trip to Vegas where she encounters the King of Vegas himself, the aloof Caiden, fae king of the Night Court. I liked the mythology created here as to how Vegas was built and grew. Caiden’s inexplicably drawn to Bryn. After a drunken night they wake up to find they’re married which is the beginning of all their problems. At this point, Bryn’s still blissfully unaware of what she’s married into and the danger she’s in as a result of that. So much happens between Caiden wanting to dissolve their marriage to protect Bryn, and also desperately wanting her. Their chemistry is intense! The spice level extremely high. I loved both characters, and even the members of the Night Court and team close to Caiden. I’m a sucker for the oops-I-got-drunk-and-accidentally-got-hitched-in-Vegas trope. I had so much fun reading this late into the night, glued to every page. This is the book if you’re into the heat, political intrigue, that dual reality/fantasy world collision, curse breaking, and two people who are destined for each other. Now I’ve to wait impatiently for the next one, especially after that stunner at the end!
