Further issues with #CloudPunk - the controls for the character walking are entirely different to the controls for driving. There is no information about walking & if I look in the menus, an Xbox or PlayStation controller is shown. I have a Switch. #GinevraLearnsVideoGames

Bolstered by my success at getting through a few levels in Unpacking, I decided to try #CloudPunk again. CloudPunk is inherently challenging for me, as I don't drive nor play driving games. I don't know the controls. I'm used to seeing left-hand drive. You play as a hovercraft courier.
Watching a German YouTuber play a bit, he doesn't flinch when he hits other cars or buildings, he doesn't follow instructions & does things off mission ...

So #GinevraLearnsVideoGames update: am not progressing with any other games, so bought & played 2 time periods of Unboxing. Actually 3, but I think my first time period may have saved incorrectly or something? Minor issues understanding how to use the camera to get the photos *I* want & stickers etc.

The thing I notice: I become hyper focused on the game, have forgotten to eat & stretch & I dunno if that's what I'd call relaxing... #ActuallyAutistic

Spoiler alert: the 1hr per day of video gaming didn't work out, but I'm interested in continuing to try & report on my progress, when I can. I did play a bit of The Sims, one of the few games I'm comfortable with & have played before

As a comfortable introduction to game critique, I'll talk about my UI challenges:
- wow the dialogue choices disappear so fast! Really need a way of slowing them down
- still don't have the hang of making Alex walk smoothly, but I can get her to move
- I got stuck near the cave when I was listening for radio signals. Stuck stuck, no one else was moving & whatever I did had no effect. Almost got frustrated but turned off & on & was able to progress into the cave 2/n #GinevraLearnsVideoGames

So, twisting & reconfiguring advice from #ActuallyAutistic folk, I decided to try 1 hr of a video game. Per day, I hope? For other reasons, I was looking into so-called #CozyGames and so chose #Oxenfree for my first attempt Thread 1/n
