A First Grade Magistrate Court has sentenced a 27-year-old Mzuzu University graduate to 10 and half years imprisonment for defiling a 15 year-old girl in Mzimba District, who is now pregnant.

Sitting as a mobile court at Kazuni in Mzimba District, the court heard that the convict, Francis Kagomo, was told by the victim that she was 17 years-old and as such, he was comfortable sleeping with her.
