Lithuanian President #GitanasNausėda told LRT TV that NATO countries should not have "red lines" and supply Ukraine with the weapons it needs to win the war against #Russia.

The president explained that many of the so-called red lines that the #West is afraid to cross were drawn by #Russia.

#Lithuanian President #GitanasNausėda hopes that the #NATO summit in July in #Vilnius will find new wording on #Ukraine's membership in the Alliance.

"Because repeating every time what we said at the summit in #Bucharest in 2008 - "We keep the door open" - is no longer enough," Nausėda said.

Today I can say an important word for our defense, for our common defense - of both #Ukraine and the entire #Europe. This word is tanks. I commend this decision - made by #Poland, made by #AndrzejDuda and the Government of Poland. I thank #Lithuania, I personally thank #GitanasNausėda, for the decision to transfer anti-aircraft systems to Ukraine, which will strengthen the protection of our energy system, in particular from drone attacks.
