Some people don't know where to stop. And they're not always Americans. 😀
Another fact is that if you serve French fries to a Dutch person, you should expect them to request mayon(n)aise too. A substitute like béarnaise (US: bernease sauce 😳 ) will satisfy them, if the Dutch pallet can handle anything that is not either sweet our salty. Sugar in everything.
