Former police barracks on Clyde Street in Glasgow. Built in a neo-classical style in 1894, it was bought by the Salvation Army in 1934 to create a women's hostel. It later served as a men's hostel before finally becoming student accommodation in the 2010s.

This building stands almost directly opposite another of Miller's creations (a Glasgow Style tenement built in 1898 which I posted a photo of yesterday), giving an indication the breadth of his capabilities.

The new Bridge Street Station in Glasgow. Designed by James Miller and opened in 1890, it replaced the original Bridge Street Station further north on the south bank of the Clyde. It closed in 1905 after the expansion Glasgow Central Station on the north side of the Clyde.

Three neighbouring buildings on Bridge Street in Glasgow showing four very different architectural styles, but they all work together.
Left: Art Deco warehouse (1935); Middle Top: Traditional mid-19th Century sandstone tenement; Middle Bottom: Neo-Classical red sandstone bank inserted into the older tenement (1888); Right: Glasgow-Style tenement (1898).

A nice example of a Glasgow Style tenement from the Calton area of Glasgow, complete with a turreted corner bay topped by an ogee cupola and finial.
Built in 1900, this is what is known as a splayed corner tenement, because of the obtuse angle between the facades on the two adjoining streets. This makes it the opposite of the more iconic gushet style corner tenement.

Kinning Park Pumping Station, Milnpark Street in Glasgow. Built the early 1900s as the pumping station for the shiedhall sewage works complex, it held two vertical marine pumps. It was designed by D and A Home Morton with a substructure by W C Easton, and I love the way the roof line mirrors the curves of the windows along the right hand side.
