The Kibble Palace, Glasgow Botanic Gardens in the west end of the city. Designed by John Kibble and originally built on the shores of Long Long in the 1860s, it was moved to Glasgow and enlarged in 1873.

Apart from the one I posted yesterday about the Elephants of Maryhill Locks, I think this one from the Botanic Gardens is my favourite. 🤣🤣🤣

Modern flats built on top of a viaduct for the old Glasgow Central Railway Line where it ran along side the River Kelvin. It was this line that served the now-abandoned station under the nearby Botanic Gardens.

The main dome of the Kibble Palace in Glasgow Botanic Gardens lit by the setting sun.
This Victorian glass house which was originally erected at the home of John Kibble on the shores of Loch Long in Argyll. It deconstructed and moved to Glasgow (piece by piece) in 1871 before being re-built, and enlarged (including adding this dome) at its current location.
