Beside the Nelson Monument in Glasgow Green (you can't miss it its the 144 foot tall pointy thing!) is, to me, a much more interesting one. It's a large, rather out-of-place looking boulder.
The inscription on it details how James Watt had his revolutionary idea for improving how steam engines work in this Glasgow park in 1765. It was an idea that is credited with kick-starting the industrial revolution.
