The former Blind Asylum on Castle Street in Glasgow. It was designed by William Landless in a Free Revivalist style and constructed in the 1880s. The Glasgow Blind Asylum was founded in 1804 to provide education and training to blind peope so they could earn an independent living. This included training them to be musicians and teaching them trades.

The capola at the top of one of the towers on the main building of Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Designed by James Miller and built in the early 1900s.

James Miller is amongst the greatest of Glasgow's architects, but remains poory known in comparison to Alexander 'Greek' Thomson and Charles Rennie MacKintosh.

A plaque commemorating Joseph Lister's initiation of antiseptic surgery in the 1860s while working at as a surgeon at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. This was a major event in the development of modern medicine which undoubtedly saved many lives, but how many people know this happened in Glasgow?

Glasgow Royal Infirmary as seen from Cathedral Square. This building was designed by James Miller and opened in 1915 as part of a comprehensive plan to rejuvenate the hospital which originally opened in 1794, making it one of the oldest functioning acute hospital in the UK.
