All that's left on display of James Alexander Ewing's 1897 larger-than-life bust of Beethoven on Renfrew Street in Glasgow. Once a well-known landmark on this street, Beethoven's head was apparently removed from his shoulders for safety reasons about 2019 and then left lying around in a vacant lot for a couple of years. It's now been removed for safe-keeping, and with a bit of luck the two parts of this sculpture will one day be reunited.

Sculptures around the doors to 114-118 Queen's Drive in Glasgow. Representing the Arts, they are usually taken as being Music, Painting (middle two) and Literature. However, I think the second one may be Dance rather than Painting.

Just arrived through my door: 538 pages of sculptury goodness. Can't wait to dive into it and learn more about Glasgow's many public sculptures, and the amazingly skilled artists who created them.
