Brass lamps in the reconstructed interior of Charles Rennie MacKintosh's home in Glasgow University. These are almost identical to some of the lamps hanging in MacKintosh's Queen's Cross Church in Maryhill.

I love it when I come across a Glasgow building I've never seen before. The other day, it was this superb Art Nouveau/Glasgow Style 1903 former glass warehouse designed by J. Gibb Morton at 126 Howard Street.
It's pretty much hidden by the mess that is the entrance to the St Enoch Centre Car Park, and only the facade is left, but at least this has been preserved.

James Miller's rather fabulous 1898 Glasgow-Style tenement on Bridge Street in the Laurieston area of Glasgow. Most Glasgow-Style buildings are built with red sandstone, while this one is made from blonde sandstone, presumably to blend in with the older tenements around it.

A nice example of a Glasgow Style tenement from the Calton area of Glasgow, complete with a turreted corner bay topped by an ogee cupola and finial.
Built in 1900, this is what is known as a splayed corner tenement, because of the obtuse angle between the facades on the two adjoining streets. This makes it the opposite of the more iconic gushet style corner tenement.

I've been going to Kelvingrove Art Gallery in Glasgow since I was a kid, but I only noticed these wonderfully ornate cast iron vent covers for the first time the other day.
