This one might be old. I don't think I've seen steel cans with seams like that on retail shelves in my lifetime.
The bit of mug said 'made in Japan' on the base, looked mass produced and very 1980s to my untrained eye. So this particular piss-up might not be so old after all.

I find remains of old drinking camps in the bush so often that I rarely stop to investigate (I think I saw three yesterday). This one caught my eye.
They're in good condition, so I wouldn't think they'd be particularly old. The SA pickaxe trademark symbol and the '... remains property of victoria...' both make some sense as this is near the vic/sa border.
