Christine and the Queens #Glasto set. It is incredible, stunning, and unlike anything else (not surprising, of course - they are quite a radical artist). Very shoegaze/drone/metaly in many ways.

They are, of course, utterly batshit crazy. But not in a bad way.

Watching GnR from #Glasto. Slash still has the touch, but Axel doesn't have the voice anymore (probably because he wore it out singing). Without his screaming, it isn't the same.

I just feel that bands who are no longer able to perform as they once could should not bother.

November Rain is still an amazing track, but their Glasto performance was not as good as it should have been.

Another good #Glasto set by Slowdive. They sound very much in the vein of Low. So I will have to listen to more of their music.

Wowza, that #glasto performance by #eltonjohn was something else. None of that Vegas weirdness just Sir Elton and his band from the 1970s. Hit after hit after hit. Still singing well, something Macca had a problem with last year. Another fantastic festival, from Guns N' Roses to Rick Astley to the Foo Fighters to The Pretenders to Blondie to Lil Nas X to Cat Stevens to Lizzo. Whew.

So I am watching some #Glasto, and thinking on the festival I will be going to later and I love it all.

And yet, I have a real, deep sadness. I cannot quite place it, but maybe it is the realisation that this will be lost if we do not change.
