The front to John Campbell's 1908 Early Modern commerical building at 90 Saint Vincent Street in Glasgow is impressive, but its rear elevation has an unusual surprise: seven storeys of magnificent glazed bricks. These were to help reflect light into the surrounding buildings.

White glazed bricks were often used on the back of Glasgow buildings to reflect light into windows which would otherwise be over-shadowed. In this case, they've been used to line the wall of two extensions enclosing the central windows.
