Me: "Hm, I better design a template for quickly printing the adresses on envelopes I use for #glitchbook stuff."
Also me: *Accidentally deletes the template after printing one (1!) envelope*
Current #GlitchBook project: Sticker books, sized for my sticker sizes, made from scraps of cold laminate backing paper.
Plan is to cut the scrap I have now to size and then have a few copies of each size in the ko-fi shop.
Somewhat unsurpringly, Scribus' performance when adding thousands of text frames is pretty bad, but still, it works and looks kinda nifty.
And anyway, my real use case is automatically laying out #glitchbook shit for printing, so most likely nowhere near as many objects.
Unless... 🤔
Fun #glitchbook idea I'll never implement, Nr. 372: Script that generates #tarot draws, glitches the cards and then layouts them on an A4 sheet of sticker paper for easy printing and cutting, along with a link to a webscript that generates a reading based on that draw.
Then print and cut those stickers and place them somewhere in the public sphere for whoever might need a reading that day.
Bonus points if it generates completely non-standard tarot cards and decks with similarly nonstandard meanings.
"I'm not charging enough for this shit", I think, as I write copy and edit images for the remaining #glitchbook stock.
Theme needs (lots of) work, but so far I don't hate it.
TFW you really like those random pixels your code barfs up. <3

Working on a thing...
Taking stock of my remaining #glitchbook stuff and ... Wow, I have more left than I thought.
(Also makes me really miss #copyjob. Printing and making all of those was a lot of fun.)
Thinking about what kind of commisions I could offer with #glitchbook and now I'm steadily vibrating between "Huh, now that I start listing things, I do actually have some skills to offer!" and "i know nothing I'm a fraud how could I ask people for money for any of this shit".
Never felt more like an artist than today... XD
🎵 "...I'm a business man with a business plan..." 🎶
Since there is a tiny-but-not-zero amount of people who will, now and then, mention that they wouldn't mind giving me money for #glitchbook stuff, I've been thinking about what I could offer at the moment.
Without #copyjob, my infrastucture is limited. But, right now, I could do buttons and I could do booklet-type thingies. Also digital stuff, obviously.
(If I ordered some sticker paper, I could do those as well, I suppose, in a DIY-PITA kinda way.)
None of that in particularly high quality, but I do have access to an ok-ish color laser printer, so there is that.
(Though I really need to order some toner if I want to get serious there...)
So I could try a set of #glitchpride buttons, I could try small, stapled notebooks, I could try digital only comissions.
Hmmm...
#glitchpride #copyjob #glitchbook
Now that I might soon be able to print and bind me some #glitchbook stuff again, I'm wondering what to start with.
First thing that comes to mind would be a small set of #glitchart coloring books, printed on sturdy watercolor paper.
And then ... dunno. Stickers, maybe? :gnikniht:
Since I'm stuck at home waiting for my results, I figured I might as well make something.
So here are pages of the Voynich Manuscript, run through the @glitchbot code.
Since somebody asked for it, here's another set of #glitchart #tarot cards.
Back on my bullshit again...
Today ended up a completely lazy never-even-put-on-pants self care day and I feel like I should feel bad about it but I don't, really.
I originally intended to fix my new Linux system so I can finally do #glitchbook stuff again, but whatever, this was obviously something I needed.
After playing with it, I think I'm quite happy with my first test print for a #glitchart colouring book. Still needs more fiddling with the designs and the right paper but it's a start.
