Every now and then I look into my #GlitchBot's mentions and see that people actually use the thing and that makes me very happy. :cybre_glitch: :heart_cyber:
Soooooo, guess I'm giving @minx a try.
(Also, seems the botsin.space pipeline got unclogged, so if everything works out #glitchbot should soon find a permanent home at @glitchbot .)
Just remembered that I still need a new instance for me and #glitchbot and uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggghhhhhh....
Ok, guess I should start looking for a new Mastodon instance.
What matters to me:
- Well-moderated / Good, enforced CoC
- Queer
- Leftist
- Artsy?
I also need one for #GlitchBot, which would have to allow bots, obviously.
"From Randomness Form", the web-app.
Tiny flask app that when requested generates a random image and then proceeds to glitch it a bunch of time using #glitchbot code.
If the requested url comes in the form of /frf/<some numerical value>/, it would use the numerical value as random seed, thus producing the same random image for any given url.
One can then print qr codes for random or just interesting looking seed values and paste those up somewhere.
Still very tickled by the idea, but ugh, web dev.
Figured it might be time again for an #introduction post.
Hi, I'm Aaron, I'm a #queer #parent, proudly #bisexual, angrily leftist and probably out of #spoons at any given moment.
When I do find the energy, I make #glitchart under the #GlitchBooks tag, obsess over some indie #rpg, #tabletop- or video game and try not to despair about the state of the world.
I have a blog I never update, a lewd/rant account that's mostly silent and the thing I made that's closest to "done" is probably my #glitchbot:

At some point in the future I might finally get to hustle my art and make some more money to turn into art, but so far all that's come from that were new and interesting flavors of #anxiety. Yay!
My account is set to private because I wanna know who follows me, but feel free to send a request, chances are I'll say yes.
(If you do, tho, try to have some kinda info visible in your profile or some tweets so I know what you're about. :thumbsup_paw: )

Ok, I can now apply any other glitch in #glitchbot to image subregions selected based on ranges of local entropy. That's kinda cool.
Ok, NOW no more distractions!!!
TFW when you write a nifty little effect and then completely forget about it... m)
Hm, for some reason #Glitchbot was ... hanging? Couldn't restart?
Anyway, works now.
Ugh, I just realized that completely fixing this bug would change the visual profile of #glitchbot and now I'm not sure I actually wanna. :/
Arms-deep in the bowels of #glitchbot, blood everywhere, digging for the bullet I put there myself years ago.
Dusting off ancient #glitchbot code for a voronoi-based glitch I wrote but never actually activated in the bot.
...
I absolutely can't remember how any of it works, but it does look kinda nice.
When #GlitchBot meets #UmurangiGeneration... 💜

(Tiny) #glitchbot Update!
For its intro posts, glitchbot used to pick four images out of a set of public domain artworks and then seperately glitch each of those.
In release 0.0.1-2c7b53c, I changed the introduction post to pic a single image and then glitch that in four (-ish) different ways.
Been meaning to change that for a while now.
I think I found a shitty dithering algorithm I like...
Of course, making things work badly, intentionally is actually quite hard. Making them work badly in a way that produces interesting results even more so.
