"Our expected wait time is 55 minutes" I just need to know if I can convert my SENTRI membership into #GlobalEntry. There's a FAQ that says it's possible once conditionally approved, but it says "This program change option is only available to new applicants, not existing or renewing program members."

I really only am doing this because credit card CBP credits don't apply to SENTRI, so it's probably not worth the hassle

Interesting if predictable hiccup with no-paper-receipt #GlobalEntry immigration at IAD: The CBP officer at first didn't recognize me in the lineup of mug shots from the GE kiosks on his screen and asked if I'd used one or was in Global Entry at all. I said yes and since 2013, and I guess he must have spotted my face because he then handed my passport back, asked if I had anything to declare (no) and waved me through.

Oh yeah, so what went wrong today. First, I had scheduled a #GlobalEntry interview with DHS for the morning I depart, which is convenient, don't have to pay for parking, etc.

Or it would be, if I didn't forget which side of the International Terminal office it was on, and have to run across the airport while carrying all my bags.

I arrived 3 mins late to my appointment, an appt that took me 2 months to get. The next available one was in July. Things were not looking good.

The awesomeness of clearing customs in 10 minutes thanks to #GlobalEntry is really hampered by waiting an hour for bags to show up.

Finally got an interview for #GlobalEntry, they just opened the month of April at #SFO. :sfo:

Got lucky! I've been waiting 5 months for a new appointment to renew my #GlobalEntry and #PreCheck with #CBP and they both expired in December. I guess #United was unaware because they gave me PreCheck anyhow. #TravelerTales #UnitedStatesProblems

Global entry is worth every penny. That was the fastest I’ve ever cleared, passport scan and boom back in the states.
