Continuing with the hackernews comments critique:
#AbstractWikipedia is unnessesary because translation:
* Most knowledge in Wikidata doesn't exist as translatable text
* Underrepresented language translation is bad, and could be improved with more NLG material (maybe?)
* Wikifunctions is interesting apart from Abstract Wikipedia, especially if #GlobalTemplates -style functionality could be hacked into it (and why not, it's Turing-complete ^^)
