He won the Man Booker Prize (2011) & the Jerusalem Prize (2021).
In "A History of the World in 10 ½ Chapters" (1989), he wrote,
"The #Taste seemed to come in two parts - a sort of awakening sharpness followed quickly by a wash of #Sweetness;
And each of those little #Globules (which were about the size of tadpoles) seemed to burst separately in my mouth.

I don't mind telling you."
