I can cite #ClimateChange and #NetZero pledges all day, but let's get down to the bones of it - quick, congestion-separated public transport adds value in so many ways other than just a quick route from A to B.
I acknowledge that roads are important - but we need to be thinking ahead to a world with less cars on the roads and more people taking transit and #cycling in #Gloucestershire. Permanent infrastructure changes attitudes very quickly - just look at the #ElizabethLine.

Chuffed this week finally to see Blaise Castle lodge, where my 4xg grandfather George Tomkins lived. He was gardener to the Blaise estate from c.1799 and died in 1864, aged 89. In 1851 ELEVEN people lived here!

Downland Bee-fly (Villa cingulata) at Lower Woods, #Gloucestershire #UK, back in June. This species was thought to be extinct in the UK until about 20 years ago, and now seems to be making a comeback. It's a parasitoid, but the host is presently unknown - possibly Noctuid moths. This is a female, collecting dust to coat the eggs in.
