Some whacky #gamemaker #gml scripting I did to solve a bug with my camera zones. The bug was that if you quickly moved between two it wouldn't know which batch of settings to use (stuff like if the sides of the zone are "bound" or not, location of the zone, etc.). I had to run some logic in the player and the zone in a way that's intertwined, and it led to me using "with" to run logic for the player and then referencing the very camera zone I'm running this from as though it's external.

In today's stream (starting in ~2 hrs), I continue with my little GameMaker game and probably go off on a number of tangents 😅

Someone at my local makerspace reminded me of an old project I haven't shared here yet: gml2mt is a #Python script that streams a #GML file to a #Minitel terminal. I would love to see more projects that uses the #graffiti markup language, but the project seems to have been inactive for some years now
