So yeah #GMTKJam2023 was rough :')

Made a quick breakdown of how I created the art in my #gmtkjam entry.

The whole game uses only 1 material and 2 textures - one texture is a 5x1 palette, the other is 3 512x512 masks packed in an RGBA texture.
Then, I use the vertex colors from the object to select a color and a mask (and affect how the mask moves and looks)

It's an #InfiniteRunner / #Sidescroller / #Platformer, only this time you don't control a boring plumber or edgy hedgehog, no, no, but gravity itself!

Since I spent – as so often – WAY too much time looking for an idea and did pretty much all the work today, it's a bit rough around the edges, but I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback anyways!

i'm making a turn based RPG where you play as a group of low-level skeletons in an MMO who have decided you want to stop being farmed and start learning the player's moves.

Things start taking shape.
