Another conversation reminded me of an article I posted a long time ago back when I pretended to have a blog. I pulled a bunch of data from social security, which is inherently based on names and genders assigned at birth. But it gives a window about what the wider population assumes about the genders of names.
I should run it again but just look at data from 2000-2020.
