@gnome Software is one of the best #Linux software centers in terms of UI and features. It has the option to choose package format, view app screenshots, description, ratings, download size, permissions, whether the app is open source or not and many more. The only drawback is the long (re)loading time which can be quite annoying sometimes.

Also, excellent first-run GNOME Software experience on Fedora Silverblue 37. Had about 28 updates listed, everything installed beautifully (with lovely row slide/disappear animations for installed apps).

(There were first-run issues with GNOME Software on Fedora Silverblue 36.)

Right, so this has recently been fixed.

If you run into the same issue, go into Terminal and upgrade the operating system from there:

rpm-ostree upgrade
```

Everything should be back to normal once the upgrade is complete :)

Remeber #MyDad? 70 year old who switched to #Debian11 #gnulinux in September this year?
We had a couple od #teamviewer sessions, where I tweaked #libreoffice a little bit for him and showed him, how to use his Home directory as a base where he stores everything, setup #hdmi output to his TV. Really like 5min tasks.
Today he wrote to me that he got used to the #Gnome interface, knows how to find apps to install over #GnomeSoftware and all in all will not returning to #Windows.
