Tools for the Job #Bearapp for taking notes. Odom's OCG, And probably Neil Anderson's course on udemy, #GNS3 And #Packet tracer, probably #Boson Netsim later on.

Je cherche un contrat d'apprentissage en système et réseau. L'école dans laquelle j'ai été pris est l'ENI de Quimper, BTS TSSR.
J'ai une large préférence pour:
* le Finistère
* les collectivités territoriales, services publiques non répressifs, service hospitalier, radio...
* les logiciels libres et open source (#proxmox, #debian, #gns3, etc.)
(Et je parle un peu breton...)

@mav Have the resources to setup a hypervisor? #proxmox is my go-to. It allows you to setup templates so you can quickly spin up a new instance of a machine if needed.

#GNS3 is a network simulator, I use it for labbing for CCNA exam

Was looking for an alternative to #Cisco #PacketTracer and #GNS3 seems like it might do the trick. And it's way more aligned with my ideologies.

Sauf que, sa timeline reste désespéremment vide dans mon #sengi .

A network simulation tool has to work for me and I don’t have the time to search and integrate images for devices spending hours/days to get the things running.

👾 I am testing again #gns3 after years of #eveng.

Question: does anybody have any suggestions for a good place to learn introductory #tcpip #networking? Ideally, something that uses either real networks or simulated ones, like Packet Tracer or #gns3 or something like that? #cisco curriculum is ok but it goes reeeeeeally slow and covers way more than you need to know in order to, say, understand enough networking to set up a Proxmox server.

I've been asked a number of times how people can fill in this particular gap, and I'm never quite sure what to suggest. My strategy was to do lots of dumb stuff with networking in the 90s and that's not scalable 🤣

The solution was to create a symbolic link (sudo ln -s) between my version of #python and the one used by #gns3.

Fatal Python error: Py_Initialize: Unable to get the locale encoding
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'encodings'

A problem with Python, I think.
Is there anybody which have a solution to fix this?

Il y a des explication sur configurations #bird avec des topologies de réseau présentées à coté avec l'explication de quelques erreurs de débutant et l'évolution des topologies. C'est une vrai mine d'or pour comprendre

La différence entre le full view (la vue complète d'Internet ?) et celle où on ne voit rien (I3D), c'est qu'il faut filtrer des annonces de route. Par ex d'autres personnes des zinternet annoncent des IP privées.

ça doit être des tests en production de #gns3
