GeoClue 2.7.1 is out!

The most prominent feature in this release is priority sources by @kop316. In practice this means that locations from inaccurate sources do not get through when #GNSS / #GPS is running, improving the user experience on high-resolution use cases like navigation.

Le module drotek RTK coûte encore un peu cher par rapport au récepteur GNSS "commun".
Il faut un peu d'huile de coude électronique/informatique pour mettre à jour les firmwares et configs des composants.
Plus une ou deux petites soudures, un boitier imprimé en 3D, un téléphone android et l'appli kivabien, and voilà !

My ublox GNSS receiver got a new home and went modular!

It now resides in a case made from cereal box cardboard, painted black and labeled with yellow vinyl.

The TTL interface is soldered to a JST XH connector.

Cuz most #GNSS sensor chipsets I know transparently decode the signals internally and only output the "diagnostics data" like accuracy and signal levels seperately with no means to select those...

Muons have been used previously to image archeological structures, search for hidden Mayan ruins, and detect hidden corridors and chambers of the Great Pyramid of Giza [3].

Recently, the first navigation with wireless muometric navigation system (MuWNS) in indoor and underground environments was successfully tested [4] showing accuracy exceeding the GPS single-point positioning.

The muometric positioning or navigation system (muPS/μPS/muNS) is a novel positioning/navigation system that utilizes the ubiquitous and highly-penetratve cosmic-ray muons [1][2].

This technique does not require active signal generation [1][2] and is usable in environments where GPS/GNSS signals cannot reach such as underwater and underground.

Per our request, NitroKey has fixed one of the main issues in https://www.nitrokey.com/news/2023/smartphones-popular-qualcomm-chip-secretly-share-private-information-us-chip-maker. XTRA downloads are done by xtra-daemon in the OS, not firmware. It also does use HTTPS by default, but the OS can override the default URLs via gps.conf and some OSes do override to HTTP URLs.
