I am leading a walk on Thursday on a reserve I’ve never been to before so thought I ought to spend an evening getting a feel for the place. I don’t recall ever having seen a #Nightjar sit out like this before for so long - it spent a good five minutes at the top of a bush. Footage taken on the ‘phone.

Day 4 of the #CanadaTrip and we spent a final morning at Point Pelee before moving on to Hillman marsh. A group of 19 Turkey Vulture rode a thermal along with 5 Broad-winged Hawk; Orchard Oriole was seen again and we had to have a final look at Prothonotary Warbler. Before we left the Park, news came of an unusual sighting. Many visitors headed for the spot but I'm glad to say the bird was not disturbed.
