"While rescue operations continue, concerns are also being raised about the many heritage sites in the region. Fortunately, we can confirm that [#GöbekliTepe] has suffered no damage, as noted in a recent statement by the Ministry of Culture, General Directorate of Monuments and Museums."

Monolith from Göbekli Tepe? No. This is an ancestor figurine from Pope's Cave in France dating to around 25,000 BCE. The rich finds in this cave also produced Venus and hermaphrodite figurines. The other side of this is 3D showing more of a phallic type representation.
This is one piece of evidence showing that Göbekli Tepe did not suddenly spring out of nowhere but had antecedents. More at: https://www.druidwisdom.org/ancient-druid-civilization/ancient-druid-history/pre-druid-huntergatherer-spirituality

That (both drawings based on reliefs from #GöbekliTepe, Turkey) is an almost standard #aurochs #depiction: bodies in side view, but heads shown in a somehow distorted perspective - lowered, presenting horns. Just like you'd experience an apparently attacking animal in the wild.

Klaus Schmidt has been long involved in excavations at #NevaliCori under H. Hauptmann (where T-pillars were discovered for the first time in the 1980s) before visiting #GobekliTepe - and was prepared to recognise a few suspicious architecture remains:

Neither the visible archaeology on the surface of the mound of #GobekliTepe nor the state of research regarding the regional Neolithic would have suggested these characteristic monuments during the 1960s survey though.

We are mostly preoccupied with our present lives, with the contemporary moment, with its ups and downs, dramas and traumas, LOLs and outrages...
But what if we were to slip through some cosmic wormhole to experience #time from a radically expanded perspective?
This new piece by Brian George considers the possibility that human civilizations are much—MUCH—older than conventionally assumed. Fans of #GrahamHancock and #gobeklitepe research may especially enjoy this one.

Guess who's really uncovering all those "mysteries" ancient sites like #GobekliTepe are "hiding" (under millennia of dust and rubble)?
Spoiler: Not an angry millionaire with a Netflix show, but e.g. these hardworking guys here, digging under the sun. #ThoseWhoShovel.
I really love how these #bulls from #GobekliTepe (sketches by @jens2go) are the opposite of #Egyptian reliefs, in terms of geometry: a projection unseen in modern artistic discourse! In Egypt, human torso would be frontal, while the head would be a profile. Here it's the other way around: a side-ways body, but a top-down view for a head!
The coolest thing about these super-ancient art artifacts, is just how fundamentally alien they are sometimes!
