I did another 28km today! starting to feel not as sore when I am done! Body is getting used to it. Took the flatter/longer route. Much more enjoyable physically and still a really good workout. Being nearer traffic isn't as nice as being in the trees most of the way but it's a tradeoff. Celebrating the end of Bike to School Week with a huge party. The kids loved the bike bling decorating station and obstacle course. The free bananas, oranges, and freezies were also very popular.

There's nothing like seeing the joy on kids faces when they ride their bikes around. We just need more AAA bike routes so they can ride more often.

It brings great joy to my heart to see every bike rack was full and then some. Hundreds of kids biking and scootering to school today at our local Vancouver elementary. 🚴🛴

After school there will be a celebration party with bike decorating, an obstacle course, tune-ups, free snacks, and a DJ.

One of my favourite events of the season: the #CapitalBike Holiday Lights Ride! The weather cooperated (just a little drizzle at the start), it was a great route with amazingly decorated houses, I got to bring my niece & nephew again & this time their mum, my friend, was able to attend for the first time, plus I saw so many other friends there… a heart filling evening. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

For a quiet Sunday morning & a short ride I got a lot of positive comments on the cargobike: 5 people commented things like, “wow, that’s cool!” “Nice bike” and a dump truck driver slowed down to give me a big thumbs up 👍❤️

Today’s journey was to drop off empties to a local bottle drive.
