Wow, this turned out to be very pretty!

Generation algorithm: Each seed moves linearly outwards from the center at a fixed angle and growing in size proportional to the square root of its distance from the center. Each seed spawns once every frame and the fixed angle is a multiple of the golden angle (~137.5°).
