Just picked a bowl of golden currants. It's maybe enough for a pie, but there are more ripening on the two buses. Pretty good for not having to water them or do much else except pick. The birds are planting the buses all over the place too.

#GoldenCurrant in flower. You can see how this plant got it's name from the flowers (the berries are reddish-purple). It goes dormant in summer, so it is always great to see it leaf out in winter. #ClimateDiary #CANativePlants #EdibleBerries
