Question for #gongfucha practitioners: going to be moving soon and will need a place to store tea* and teaware**. Any suggestions for what kind of cabinet or table or shelf or etc. I should get?

*Tea consists mainly of puer in mylar (heated storage is in a cooler, but I have a spot for that) but also assorted bags of yancha and white tea.

**Teaware is about a half dozen gaiwans, 4 or 5 teapots, and about a dozen and a half cups. Not outrageous (I don't think!)

I was feeling really stressed out this morning about my upcoming trip to Japan, so I decided to hold a #gongfucha ceremony for myself. I looked out the window at nature and talked to my beloved tea pet Ru Ki. We had #puerhtea in a tangerine. 🍊

In Sanming, Fujian I had an Eastern Beauty oolong (东方美人茶) made from the mei zhan cultivar, usually used for black teas in Fujian. It was amazing. You could taste the floral notes typical of mei zhan combined with the honey sweetness from the leafhoppers and processing. I don't remember the name of the farm, but I would love for some tea company to find that and sell it to me.

2/ Our theory (which I can only imagine has been handed down for centuries) was that the dampness reminded the reeds of their native swamps and marshes, and so they felt more comfortable with us using them in this fashion.

I have similar animistic and superstitious feelings about green tea, especially longjing. Today's brew seems especially verdant, I think in response to the rain.

This morning I'm drinking the first 2023 green tea I've received: Qihuo Pre-Ming Longjing. Qihuo refers to the two days before the qingming festival, when this grade is picked.
